U. S. Serial Set & American State Papers

The U. S. Serial Set & American State Papers dating from the creation of the United States to the most recent Congressional reports is available for use in the University of NH library through the Government Information Department. Offering a unique window on almost 200 years of the social, political, and economic development of the United States as well as national defense and international relations, it includes a fascinating collection of primary American history documentation. To name just a few, it includes the diaries of the Lewis and Clark expeditions, background on the assassinations of Presidents Lincoln and Kennedy, the official records of the Civil War, genealogical research documents, accounts of the sinking of the Titanic, reports from the McCarthy-era, details of World War II rationing, and rare maps and plates.

Access is provided through the Library Online Catalog and the U. S. Serial Set Index (DocsRef Z 1223 .Z9 C65) which includes the Index and Carto-Bibliography of Maps (DocsRef Z 1223 .Z9 C65), 1789-1969 covering the more than 55,000 maps in the set. Please allow at least 24 hours for us to retrieve these materials from Storage. The American State Papers and Serial Set does not circulate but can be used in the library.
